As part of the initiative, a Pokémon TCG event map has been created to help players identify tournaments and events suited to their experience level, ranging from beginners to competitive players. The event map is accessible through regional Pokémon websites, which you can check out here for Malaysia, or click these texts for Singapore or the Philippines.

According to the announcement, future Pokémon events and competitions, beginning with the 2026-27 Pokémon Asia Championship Series, will feature branding, decorations and prizes associated with the Pokémon Game On! initiative. Promotional cards tied to the initiative will be distributed starting 1 September at participating Pokémon Trading Card Game Gyms, while supplies last. The phrase “Game on!” will also be introduced as a new call signalling the start of a match.

2026-27 Pokémon Asia Championship Series Registration Opens

The announcement coincided with the start of the 2026-27 Pokémon Asia Championship Series, which begins on 1 September 2026 across the same seven participating regions. The competitive series determines regional champions who advance to the annual Pokémon World Championships.

The championship series includes four tournament tiers of increasing scale: Great Ball League, Ultra Ball League, Premier Ball League and Master Ball League, each designed for different levels of player experience. Registration for the Premier Ball League has also opened as part of this announcement.

The series includes two competition categories: the TCG Category, in which players compete using the Pokémon Trading Card Game, and the VGC Category, in which players compete in the Pokémon Champions video game. Further details on the 2026-27 Pokémon Asia Championship Series are available through regional official websites, including for Malaysia, the Philippines and Singapore.
