Registrations For New Pokémon Asia Players Cup 2021 Are Open Now

The Pokémon Company has just announced that registrations for their new Pokémon Asia Players Cup 2021 are now open. The new event is Asia’s first multi-region online Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield tournament. It will take place from August 28 through September 11.

In the Pokémon Asia Players Cup 2021, players from Hong Kong, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand will compete against Trainers from all across Asia for a chance to win a ticket to the Pokémon Global Exhibition in October and a trip to the 2022 Pokémon World Championships!

The top players from Hong Kong, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand will compete in qualifiers on August 28, 29, and September 4, 5, 2021. The Grand Finale will take place on September 11th, with the top 8 players from each area competing for the title of best Pokémon trainer in Asia.

All eight players that compete in the Grand Finale will receive an invitation to Day 1 of the 2022 Pokémon World Championships, as well as tangible copies of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl Double Pack and Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

The Grand Finale winner will be invited to the Pokémon Global Exhibition, as well as an invitation to Day 2 of the 2022 Pokémon World Championships, which includes flights and accommodations.

Pokdepinion: Oh wow this is pretty cool. I’ve never played any of the Pokémon games past the Nintendo DS era. I couldn’t afford a 3DS growing up and I just haven’t gotten around getting myself a Nintendo Switch.
