Team UwU And Paper Rex Are The New VALORANT Challengers Champions

Team UwU and Paper Rex have just been crowned champions of VALORANT Challengers Malaysia and Singapore and will advance to the VCT Stage 3 – CHALLENGER SEA – Playoffs on 13 August.

In Week 2, in the Best of Five format, newcomer Team UwU from Singapore overcame Paper Rex 3-2 in an against-all-odds struggle. Paper Rex, on the other hand, secured the final slot to proceed to the next level in the Philippines in Week 3. The SEA Playoff for the VALORANT Challengers will be contested on August 13-16 and 19-22.

The playoffs take place over two weeks and feature teams from Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, Singapore, and Malaysia, as well as Hong Kong and Taiwan. The winner of the SEA playoffs will compete against the best teams from Japan, Korea, North America, Brazil, EMEA, and LATAM at the VALORANT Masters 2021 in Berlin on September 19.

Fans of the popular game tuned in to the livestream, which was streamed on regional partner The Gaming Company’s official Twitch and Facebook pages. During the webcast, Esports Fight Club, the Official Esports Platform partner, gave away customised PC setups to a few lucky viewers, while Predator, the Official Gaming PC and Laptop partner, gave out exclusive goods. Secretlab, the event’s official chair partner, has also sponsored gaming chairs.

The third stage of the VALORANT Challengers Malaysia and Singapore began last month, with a weekly prize pool of RM40,000. All agents from the most recent VALORANT roster are welcome, and the tournament will feature the maps Bind, Haven, Split, Ascent, and Icebox.
