Free Fire is kicking off a horror-themed event called “The Unseen”, introducing a range of new gameplay mechanics, an interactive haunted manor, free rewards, and a collection of horror-inspired outfits. Players across Battle Royale and Clash Squad modes can take part in the Free Fire The Unseen event during the two-week run starting 16 October.
Free Fire “The Unseen” Event
In Battle Royale, players can pick up a Reveal Mask to enter The Hidden Side, an alternate version of the map where the sky darkens and mysterious creatures appear in the distance. Inside, players move faster, jump higher, and interact with objects hidden from regular view to obtain useful gear. However, attacking or taking damage will pull them back to the standard map.
Eliminated players do not have to sit out entirely – as long as at least one teammate remains in the match, eliminated players can transform into spooky Dolls and continue interacting with their squad. In Doll form, they can enter The Hidden Side, buff surviving teammates, and use special emotes. Reveal Masks are also available in Clash Squad, giving that mode access to The Hidden Side as well.
Outside of matches, players can explore a scrollable haunted manor tied to their event progress. Completing daily missions earns tokens used to raise an in-game panic level and unlock new nodes, where interacting with objects triggers horror animations and surprises.
Free rewards are available by completing event missions throughout the event period, with the headline prize being the Cloaked Terror Bundle, a unisex outfit featuring a shadowy hood, masked face, and red accents. Additional free rewards include the Axed Escape Jeep skin and the Spinning Machete Parang skin.
A new paid collection inspired by horror archetypes also arrives alongside the event: the male Hollow Man Bundle features a weathered coat, skeletal frame, and a hollow opening through its chest. The female Crimson Glitches Bundle has long black hair and shifting visual distortion effects as the character moves. The male Red Slicker Bundle comes in deep crimson with a hooded look and dark tendrils extending from behind.
Beyond outfits, players can also find a horror-inspired elimination collectible featuring a pair of hand-holding twins, along with themed Skydive and Arrival Animations.
