Some Gamers Are Getting Metroid Dread Earlier Than Expected
Metroid Dread will be launching very soon on the Nintendo Switch. However, some gamers have reportedly received a physical copy of the game earlier than expected. Here’s what went down.
Some Gamers Are Getting Metroid Dread Early
Metroid Dread is a 2D side-scrolling game that will be coming exclusively to the Nintendo Switch on 8th October 2021. It will be the first 2D game in the franchise since Metroid Fusion in 2002, which means its been nearly 2 decades since.
With that being said, it appears that some gamers have received a physical copy of the game early. They would be able to play the game but there is expected to be a much-needed update that will launch as soon as the game is officially out. If you see people streaming / uploading gameplay of it, it’s likely to be legit at this point.
According to the official Nintendo website, Metroid Dread will be officially available in the eShop at 2PM BST for UK and Europe, and 12PM ET for North America. Depending on which region you are, you should expect to be officially available around this time.
Metroid Dread will be officially launched on 8th October 2021 for the Nintendo Switch. It will be retailing for $59.99 / £49.99.
Pokdepinion: I’m personally looking forward to Metroid Prime 4, but I suppose this will do for now while I wait. More than anything else, I hope this, along with Dread, doesn’t come out as a buggy mess.
