Forza Horizon 5 Gets Second Rally-Inspired DLC, Available March 29
After the re-imagined Hot Wheels expansion, Forza is back with another expansion for Horizon Festival Mexico.
Forza’s next map expansion, titled Rally Adventure, is set on a fictional map called Sierra Nueva – said to feature the “most extreme driving roads ever”, claims Playground Games, the studio behind Forza Horizon series. The map will include various biomes include a town, abandoned quarry, sand dunes, and forests. The expansion will see the largest number of events added in a Horizon DLC, with a new campaign mode that features rally stages and multi-car racing.
The expansion will get something new on Forza – a rally co-driver. For those unaware, rally races will have a passenger (co-driver) who calls out map routes for the racing driver to navigate the course. Those who played DiRT or WRC games before will be familiar with this new racing mode.
With this expansion comes 10 new cars, and this time they are all geared for off-road duties. A new performance upgrade, anti-lag system, will be introduced to provide the endless backfiring effects that racing spectators crave. Among the new cars are: Ford F-150 Lightning Platinum EV, Hoonigan Volkswagen Baja Beetle Class 5/1600 ‘Scumbug’, Ford #4 Focus RS circa 2001, and more.
The new expansion will be available as a standalone purchase for existing Forza Horizon 5 players for $19.99 – those who owns Premium Edition, Premium Add-ons Bundle or Expansions Bundle will get the DLC right away when the new expansion arrives in March 29, 2023.
