Halo Infinite Is Seeing an Influx of Cheaters 28

Halo Infinite had a surprising early launch, at least for the multiplayer portion of the game. Given its popularity, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see cheaters in the game and now, there’s going to be a whole lot of them. Here’s what you need to know.

Halo Infinite Is Seeing an Influx of Cheaters

A lot of gamers have come to Twitter to voice out their displeasure over Halo Infinite cheaters, most notably popular gaming personalities Courage JD and DougisRaw. It happened surprisingly fast too given that most multiplayer games will take a while to see these blatant aimbotters and other types of cheaters to appear in the game.

What’s worse is that given the free-to-play nature of Halo Infinite multiplayer, cheaters are less worried about getting their accounts banned as they could easily sign up for a new one. One popular solution being thrown out in the community is to disable cross play as it’s generally harder to cheat on consoles compared to PC given the unique architecture and software behind it.

Even if this does happen however, it doesn’t ultimately solve the root of the problem as it will only ensure that less people will suffer overall. As a temporary solution, it might not be too bad but 343 Industries and Microsoft will have to move fast, otherwise they will risk losing their player base to another game.

For now, no solution has been put forth just yet, but we will report more on this as soon as information becomes available so stay tuned. The multiplayer portion of Halo Infinite is available for free on the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC.

Pokdepinion: I hope they put in a strong countermeasure soon. When COD Warzone had this problem, most players moved to Apex Legends so I wouldn’t be surprise to see the same thing happening here.
