With Overwatch 2 Season 3 here, it has been confirmed that we are getting a surprising yet apt anime crossover, most notably with Doomfist.
Overwatch 2 Gets One Punch Man Crossover Collaboration
Blizzard Entertainment has revealed a collaboration event between Overwatch 2 and One Punch Man, starting March 7th and ending April 6th. The event will be the first major IP collaboration for the game and will feature limited-time skins and cosmetics based on One Punch Man, including a Legendary skin that can only be earned through select challenges. Saitama’s Doomfist skin is among the items that will be available.
Additionally, Overwatch 2 Season 3 will begin a month prior to the collaboration event. The season will bring new content such as Asian Mythology theme, Antarctic Control map, Battle Pass with a Mythic Kiriko skin, a Valentine’s in-game event with the Overwatch Dating Simulator: Loverwatch, and the IP collaboration. The game will also make some changes to ranked matchmaking. The Valentine’s event will be another first for the game and it’s called Loverwatch Dating Sim and Ultimate Valentine’s Event. In addition, PachiMarchi is also set to return in March.
Blizzard Entertainment has detailed the new features on its website. The Antarctic Control Map will take players to the chilly landscape of Antarctica, where they will uncover untold stories. The Asian Mythology Theme and Kiriko Mythic Skin will celebrate cultures from around the world, with a focus on Korea, Japan, and China. Blizzard promises that the new skins will be the most unique to date.
The Loverwatch Dating Sim is a text-based dating simulation that runs from 13th to 28th February 2023, allowing players to choose a dating path between Mercy and Genji through dialogue options. The Ultimate Valentine’s Event, running from 14th to 28th February 2023, offers players the chance to earn epic skins as rewards.
Pokdepinion: Not gonna lie, when my friends and I were watching the trailer, we got really hyped up more so than expected since we were completely blindsided by it. Hopefully, this is a sign of more things to come for the game.
