PlayStation Hiring Senior Director for PC Planning and Strategy

Is The God of War PC Port Great or a Poor Mess?

The folks over at Sony Interactive Entertainment are making moves to bolster their presence within the PC gaming space as they are looking to hire a new senior director for PC planning and strategy.

According to the job posting, this role will see the person leading the company’s PC growth, commercial strategy, and PC store strategies. There were specific mentions for Steam and Epic Games Store, so we most likely will not see a PlayStation PC launcher, at least not for the foreseeable future.

Thus far, we’ve seen a number of successful PlayStation PC ports, most notably Horizon Zero Dawn and God of War. Sure, some of them didn’t have a good start, as Horizon Zero Dawn was riddled with bugs at launch but that has significantly improved and sales started going up again.

For now, it’s hard to tell if PlayStation would ever do simultaneous launches for their major first party games, and it seems unlikely for now but we can foresee more ports coming for sure. We will report more on this as soon as information becomes available so stay tuned.

Pokdepinion: PlayStation PC ports have been very questionable in quality so hopefully this will be a sign of better things to come.
