We’ve seen plenty of benchmark leaks thanks to Geekbench – and now the company, Primate Labs, is upgrading it to version 6.0, and is available on pretty much every modern OS you could ask: including Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile OS like Android and iOS. For desktop users, you can grab the tool directly from the Geekbench website whereas mobile versions are available on their respective app stores.

The new stuff introduced in this version includes more practical tests, like background blurring in video calls, converting text with scripts, photo tagging, filtering, and removing visual elements. All of the images and test files in question have their resolutions increased to better fit the modern usage scenarios.

Geekbench says this is more representative to the CPU and GPU’s actual performance, unlike the previous version which runs tests on individual cores, the new tests will push all its cores more efficiently – and better reflect the combination of hybrid CPU architectures such as Intel’s 12th Gen or newer, or ARM SoCs in general.

Standard version are available for free – if you want a pro license which offers more features, Geekbench is offering a 20% discount until end of February: single-user license is now $79 (~RM348), from the original price of $99.

Pokdepinion: I wonder how would ARM and x86 scores translate to each other.
