Previously, Valve has already added support for the Xbox Series X and PS5 controller on Steam. Now, they’ve taken a step further to improve on its use for PC gaming. For the Xbox Series X controller, you are now allowed to bind the Share button and use four controllers at the same time on PC via Steam. Furthermore, Trigger Rumble has been enabled via Windows Gaming Input API. Even the Xbox Elite controller has better support now as you can bind the rear paddles to any functions.

As for the PS5 controller, otherwise known as DualSense, you can now customize the LED lights. In the personalization menu for it, you can choose to enable, disable, or only illuminate when there are multiple controllers connected. If you were looking to make full use of its adaptive triggers and haptic feedback, it’s not here just yet for PC gaming.

If you want to try out these new features, you will need to download Steam Client Beta and have the latest version of it. While you are at it, there are other things included in the update so you can check that out in the changelog if you’d like.
