Dragon’s Dogma 2 Set For March 2024 Launch
In the hour-long showcase event, Capcom presented the upcoming Dragon’s Dogma title, Dragon’s Dogma 2, a sequel to the original title released in 2012 (which will be almost 12 years apart by the time the sequel releases on March 22, 2024).
Dragon’s Dogma 2 follows its preceding title, with the narrative-driven action RPG gameplay set in a fantasy world. The plot will follow the same location as before, though Capcom noted that the story “takes place in a parallel world”. The world features two kingdoms: the human kingdom of Vermund, where the players will witness a power struggle in action; and the beastren nation that is Battahl, who worships Lambent Flame, with empress Nadinia at its center.
The sequel will also introduce a new vocation, Trickster; and a new monster, Talos. “Players will have to figure out how to stop Talos,” says Capcom – hinting at a powerful opponent that players will face at some point in the story. The game also introduces photogrammetry technology in its world and character models for a significant increase in realism, of which, you now have the ability to create both the Arisen and the main Pawn.
Pre-order for Dragon’s Dogma 2 is now live on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam). Deluxe Edition owners will get the Explorer’s Camping Kit, 1500 Rift Crystals, the game’s music & sound collection, and various items in-game. Those who preorder will get the Superior Weapons Quartet, with Deluxe Edition owners also getting the Ring of Assurance in addition.
Pokdepinion: Plenty of improvements especially in the graphics department.
