HoYoverse has announced its Version 5.7 update of Genshin Impact “A Space and Time for You” is launching on June 18 on all supported platforms. The update introduces new characters, continues the Archon Quest, and adds new gameplay modes and system optimizations.

The update debuts Skirk, a new 5-star character wielding Abyssal powers disguised as Cryo: known as Childe’s former master, Skirk switches between two combat modes – sustained Normal Attacks or an Elemental Burst with AoE Cryo damage – powered by a unique resource called Serpent’s Subtlety. She also enhances team performance when paired with at least one Hydro and one Cryo character.
Joining her is Dahlia, a 4-star Hydro support character who provides a renewable shield, boosts attack speed, and offers utility through Freeze reactions and Hydro damage. The first half of the Event Wishes will feature Skirk, Dahlia, and Shenhe, followed by reruns of Mavuika and Emilie in the second half.
The Archon Quest continues as the Abyss Order mobilizes in Natlan under the Traveler’s sibling’s plan. Mavuika and her allies prepare for conflict, while Dainsleif returns in a new form to assist the Traveler in uncovering deeper truths. Version 5.7 also introduces a tactical adventure simulation from the Sumeru Akademiya, allowing players to build teams, navigate branching routes, and earn rewards, including Primogems and the opportunity to recruit Sethos.
A new permanent combat mode Stygian Onslaught will feature rotating bosses and escalating difficulty levels, with rewards including Artifacts and the new Dust of Enlightenment item for rerolling Artifact affix enhancements. The “Travelers’ Tales: Gilded Chapter” side stories will include appearances by Thoma, Neuvillette, and Dori across various regions. Additional system updates include mobile resource management improvements, direct use of Fragile Resin for tripled Domain rewards, and new Envisaged Echoes challenges featuring Raiden Shogun and Shenhe.
