HoYoverse has announced that Honkai: Star Rail’s Version 3.2 update, Through the Petals in the Land of Repose, will launch on April 9, introducing new challenges, political intrigue, and the debut of 5-star characters Castorice (Remembrance) and Anaxa (Erudition). To celebrate the game’s two-year anniversary, players can claim 20 free pulls through daily check-ins and receive 1,600 Stellar Jades and a free 5-star character on April 26.
Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.2 Update
The update continues the Flame-Chase Journey, taking players to Styxia, a ruined city haunted by spirits. As they uncover the history of the Titans and a draconic calamity, they must face Pollux, a powerful foe that manipulates HP. Meanwhile, internal conflicts arise as Okhema’s Council of Elders attempts to halt the journey, with Anaxa playing a pivotal role in the unfolding political intrigue.
Castorice, a Chrysos Heir born under the Touch of Death, commands the Netherwing, a spectral dragon that burns its own HP to unleash wide-area damage. The Netherwing syncs with Castorice for joint attacks and absorbs lost HP from allies to enhance its power. It also taunts enemies, shielding the party before erupting in a final explosion upon exiting the field. Castorice introduces a unique survival mechanic, temporarily sustaining fallen allies in a near-death state, giving them a chance to recover instead of being immediately defeated. This ability remains active even if she is not in the party.
Anaxa, a scholar of the Seven Sages and founder of Nousporism, manipulates enemy Weaknesses to enhance his attacks. His Skill applies random Weaknesses to targets, and once a threshold is met, he enters Qualitative Disclosure, allowing him to deal increased damage and unleash a follow-up attack without consuming Skill Points. His Ultimate, Sublimation, instantly applies multiple Weaknesses to all enemies, ensuring strategic advantages in combat.
The update also brings a special Warp event. In the first half of Version 3.2, limited 5-star characters Fugue, Jiaoqiu, and Acheron will return, followed by the reappearance of “Dr. Ratio” in the second half. Additionally, adjustments will be made to older characters in Version 3.4, with balance changes planned for Silver Wolf, Blade, Kafka, and Jingliu. The anniversary celebration includes the “Star Rail WORLD” event, where players organize a pan-cosmic gala, and the Honkai: Star Rail Concert, held from May 1 to 3 with a global livestream on May 3.
