Next Gen Apex Legends for PS5 and Xbox Series X Teased
Recently, Respawn Entertainment and EA held a media event for Apex Legends Season 12: Defiance. While we already practically know everything that’s coming in the update, there’s still no word on when the proper next gen versions of the game on the PS5 and Xbox Series X will be coming. At the event however, those versions were briefly teased.
From what we understand thus far, those who attended the event were told that next gen Apex Legends for the PS5 and Xbox Series X will be revealed very soon, but no exact release date or window has been mentioned. Furthermore, no details were shared as to what sort of upgrades it would have compared to the version that is out on the PS4 and Xbox One.
Based on what we know, we can expect some form of visual upgrade, likely in the form of higher resolution gameplays, and possibly high refresh rate support up to 120Hz. There’s also a chance it may come with special bundle packs that aren’t free but contain premium in-game cosmetics. We may also get free in-game items anyway for those who play the next gen versions but not confirmations on that yet.
Apex Legends Season 12: Defiance, has launched for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on 8th February 2022.
Pokdepinion: Personally, I’m very excited to see how they plan on taking advantage of the DualSense controller to enhance the gaming experience. I might actually consider switching over from PC if they managed to execute it well.
