Based on what we can see here, Project Mugen looks like Genshin Impact given the anime-eseque character designs combined together with Grand Theft Auto with the vehicular travel and modern city landscape. The graphics also look very appealing as you can see reflections in the driving footage and the view of the city.

While I expected it to be very GPU-intensive, I’m surprised that the game will be making its way not just to PC but also to the PlayStation 5, iOS, Android, and cloud gaming systems. A full reveal will be happening on 23rd August 2023 at 7PM PT / 10PM ET / 10AM GMT+8 (Malaysia time) the next day. We will be reporting more on this as soon as details become available so stay tuned.

Pokdepinion: I’ve seen my fair share of open world RPGs like this coming out since Genshin Impact, but I’ve never seen anything quite like this. If they manage to pull it off well enough, I wouldn’t be surprised to see this being a smash hit. The key here is content and community engagement. Also, the music on their official website is a banger.
