Sony World Photography Awards Search For Malaysia’s Best Photographer Begins – Win A Trip To Award Ceremony In London!

One of the world’s prestigious photography award, the 2018 Sony World Photography Awards is now available for entry. They are looking for the best Malaysian photographer.

The Malaysia National Award is open to photographers no matter what their level is, whether it’s just from beginner level or to professional. To enter, they need to submit one image to the Open Competition, where they can enter from these ten categories;

• Architecture
• Culture
• Enhanced
• Motion
• Landscape and Nature
• Portraiture
• Still Life
• Street Photography
• Travel
• Wildlife

From these categories, the judges will then select the best single image by a Malaysian photographer. The winner of this competition will be announced on March 2018. Prizes for the winners include;

• 1st Prize – a7R II, SEL2470Z and trip to Award Ceremony in London
• 2nd Prize – A6500 and SEL1670Z
• 3rd Prize – RX100 V
• The winning image will be displayed in the annual Sony World Photography Awards’ winners book

Besides that, the winner will have their image displayed digitally alongside winning and shortlisted photographers from around the world as part of the 2018 Sony World Photography Awards Exhibition held in London and also have their work published online.

Established by the World Photography Organisation, the Sony World Photography Awards celebrates the finest contemporary photography and gives exposure and opportunity to photographers on an annual basis.

The competition consists of four categories; Professional, Open, Youth, and Student Focus. Interested participants must have their images be taken between 1 January and 31 December 2017 and the Open Competition (National Awards) will close on 4 January 2018.
