ASUS ProArt StudioBook One W590 is a gaming-level workhorse laptop!
Do you remember this announcement we shared about 4 months ago? It’s already happening with ASUS letting us get personal with the ASUS ProArt StudioBook One W590. If you are not familiar with the ProArt series, then just keep in mind that it’s one of the series that aims at color-perfect creator tasks likes digital artists, animators and architects, just to name a few.
The W590 has a beast lurking under its hoods. The 15-inch machine is chugged by Intel Core i9 processor alongside Nvidia Quadro RTX 6000 GPU which is enough to scare any other computers that will be sitting in the same office as it. The display features an ultrasharp 4K UHD PANTONE validated with ΔE < 1.0 which is crazy amount of color accuracy.
So far, at the point of writing, this is the only laptop that is powered by Core i9 CPU together with the RTX6000 GPU. You can beef up the machine with up to 24GB of VRAM allowing insane levels of performance for virtual production, real-time 8K video editing, data analytics, CAD design and simulation, among other data-intensive workloads.
What makes the W590 stand out also answers the main question you already have. How does it deal with all that heat that would be generated by such a powerful engine? The ProArt StudioBook One has a rather innovative cooling system featuring a lightweight, aerospace-grade titanium-alloy thermal module designed to optimize inlet and exhaust flow.
The heat intensive components are located in the lid instead of the bottom chassis. When this lid is lifted open, the outer cover converges by 4.57° that assists in cooling. Since the components are on the lid, the chassis doesn’t feel hot and you can place it on your laps without scalding them. Genius.
