ASUS ZenFone 6 launched with novel new design and RM2328 starting price
ASUS hasn’t exactly been the most daring when it comes to designing new smartphones. There are few notable exceptions, but the ASUS ZenFone 6 definitely takes the cake for an innovative design. To match the recent slew of devices without notches, ASUS went with a flip camera design.
Instead of adopting a ridiculous sliding-flip camera setup, the ASUS ZenFone 6 has a camera that flips out from the back to give you selfies that are just as good as the shots taken with the rear camera. ASUS over-engineered the hinge, with 13 gears and a conservative life expectancy of 5 years if you take 28 selfies a day, or 100 000 flips. The flip out mechanism also works great for panorama, with an automated 180°-wide sweep without you having to move a muscle. Or, if you want to just swing out a bit to capture from a different angle, you can too.
Then there is the massive 5000 mAh battery, which is truly unprecedented in a flagship. ASUS was teasing a smartphone for power users with the ASUS ZenFone 6, but this is really a feature we would really love in our smartphones. ASUS equipped their latest flagship with Quick Charge 4.0, so you won’t have to wait too long for the ASUS ZenFone 6 to charge up.
Aside from the hardware, ASUS also worked on their ASUS ZenUI, with the latest iteration dubbed ZenUI 6. ASUS added a Smart Key which triggers the Google Assistant, and true to its name, can also perform multiple functions. One of them is to work as a shutter button when the volume rocker is used to manipulate the flip camera’s angle.

The pricing of the ASUS ZenFone 6 is a lot less scary than what was previously leaked, with surprisingly good value. Especially since you will be getting some of the best selfies available in the market. The ASUS ZenFone 6 comes in Midnight Black and Twilight Silver, and ships in Spain starting this 25th May.
