Blizzard Says They Still Have Big Plans for Overwatch 21

Overwatch is one of the recognizable games out there today. While it may not be seeing the popularity it once saw not long ago, Activision Blizzard is far from giving up on the title. It appears that there are still big plans for the game for the foreseeable future.

During an earnings call with investors, President of Blizzard J. Allen Brack mentioned that they have large ambitions for the Overwatch universe and how it can develop over time. They will continue to dedicate resources and attention to the game so that they can continue to grow the community and the franchise over time.

More new heroes, maps and “experiences” (most likely game modes) will be added over the 2019 and 2020 financial period. To the least, we can expect the game to continue for that long. It was also mentioned that they are still working on the existing game while focusing on some “other work” they have.

Brack added that they will continue to add new heroes, maps, and experiences over the 2019 and 2020 financial period to continue to grow the game. He also added that they are still working on the existing game as well and focusing on some “other work” they have. No word on exactly what this other work could be pointing to.

Overwatch is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Battle.net.

Pokdepinion: I have tried getting back into the game but waiting for about 5 minutes or so for a game makes me more tired than playing the game itself. It’s still a pretty fun game to play to this day.
