Carousell Launches Carousell Rights Owners Programme (CROP) — Combats Unauthorized Items On The Platform

Carousell has today announce the launch of Carousell Rights Owners Programme, or simply CROP, a platform that tackles listings of of unauthorized goods in collaboration with brand partners.

With the CROP, it allows brand partners to directly remove listings of brand replicas from Carousell with zero processing time. They have said that only select brand partners, whose activities will be closely monitored by them (Carousell) will have access to it and its content moderation features.

Brands that are already on board include Nike, Grab, and Kering, who owns brands such as Gucci, Yves Saint Lauren and more.

Carousell has the policy of prohibiting the sale of replicas and the creation of any content that violates any intellectual property rights.

Pokdepinion: I wonder what will happen to those who they didn’t catch and the seller’s item has already been purchased. Can they get a refund for that?
