Digi Launches New Ibadat App — Guide-app For Muslim Users

Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd today has announced of the availability of their new Islamic mobile app that’s called Ibadat. The new app provides users with an easy way to fulfill their daily religious responsibilities with accurate and exact prayer times together with the direction of Kiblat.

Besides that, the app has other main features that are accessible for all users, including non-Digi customers for free, which includes the Holy Quran complete with audio, and location of the nearest mosques to you.

Digi customers have the option to subscribe to a premium package, giving them more information and relevant content.

The package which is RM0.50 per week, or simply RM1.50 per month, lets you to access other features such as Azan alert, a collection of relevant Doas (prayers), Islamic calendar including Muslim holidays, Zakat calculator, daily inspirational quotes, and Ramadan calendar complete with the timing for Iftar to name a few.

Users of the app will get to see live videos of the annual Hajj in Mecca and Medina during the month of Dzulhijjah through the app, as well as download a collection of Islamic contents such as wallpapers and animations.

The Ibadat app can now be downloaded on Android devices through the Google Play Store where else for iOS users, you will have to wait as it will be made available soon.

Pokdepinion: Nice to see that Digi has made it free, even though for the basic usage of the app. The pricing for the premium package also seems fair.
