HUAWEI Mate X Set For September 2019 Launch

It’s been quite some time since we’ve heard on HUAWEI’s very own foldable phone, the HUAWEI Mate X. Now it appears that the device is set to be launched later in the year, more precisely in September 2019.

Initially scheduled to arrive at the end of this month, the whole US trade ban issue dampened their plans to do so. According to reports, HUAWEI spokesperson has said that the Mate X will launch throughout the world, but focusing on countries where 5G is already available and deployed.

With Samsung’s own Samsung Fold having issues concerning its own durability, they have said that the Mate X is going through “extensive testing” in assuring it’s ready for a mass roll out to markets.

Interestingly, they have said that the US ban will not affect the Mate X in terms of ability to run Android as well as Google apps. The HUAWEI Mate X will come in Interstellar Blue with a price tag of $2,600 (~RM10,861)

If you wish to learn how the Mate X compares to the Galaxy Fold, you can do so here.

Pokdepinion: Hmm, now I wonder if the Mate X will be making its way here or not, since we are yet to utilize 5G in the country.
