HUAWEI nova 2i Users Now Comes With Face Unlock And AR Lens – Joining The Trend!
HUAWEI nova 2i users will be getting two tailor-made upgrades to their device which features “Face Unlock” as well as “AR Lens” that they will be getting by this 30th January 2018.
HUAWEI nova 2i Updates
The phone officially hit the market back in October 2017, which featured a FullView display and quad cameras (in total). Now users can anticipate the ability to unlock their phone through facial recognition. To set up the new feature, users would have to have their face detected by the front camera and the smartphone will be unlocked through its facial recognition software. This addition follows a trend where most phones are also featuring it.
Users of nova 2i are offered two options; direct unlock or slide to unlock. Users who choose the slide to unlock setting can utilize the smart lock screen notification. If the smartphone user does not have their face ID registered, the device will automatically hide the content from any notifications, ensuring that privacy is always protected.
Well that’s for the face unlock feature, moving on to the AR lens selfie feature, users can be more creative with their front-facing camera. Users can now choosevarious augmented reality (AR), self creative background when using the new feature. With it, users can impose themselves into photos with their idols, take a picture in front of KLCC, Sydney Harbour Bridge, well you get the idea.
The update, which you can utilize 30th January 2018 onward, is easy to access. All you need to do is go to your settings, go to System update, Click the upper right corner button with three points and download latest full package.
Huawei nova 2i is available in Graphite Black, Prestige and Limited Edition Aurora Blue color variants and retails at RM1,299. To find out more on the device, you can check out our previous post on the device itself by clicking right here.
Pokdepinion: I’m still not convinced on the whole facial unlock system (any device). I feel that its not secure at all. What if something happened to your face?
