Leaked images of Samsung Galaxy Note 5 surface
While it is usual for blurry potato cam “leaked” images to surface sometime before a smartphone’s imminent launch, these hi-res images are quite pretty much all the confirmation one needs that the smartphone is coming really soon. We previously mentioned that the Galaxy Note 5 might be coming early, and this looks like solid proof it will come before the iPhone 6s.
In line with Samsung’s shift from plastics beginning with the Galaxy Note 4 last year, the Galaxy Note 5 also has a metal frame, and may also be sporting a glass back as seen in the Galaxy S6. Apparently the Galaxy S6 was not as well received as Samsung hoped, and it showed in their financial report. The Galaxy Note series sells better than the Galaxy S series according to previous trends, but with more and more phablet-sized smartphones in the market, it remains to be seen how well the Galaxy Note 5 will fare.
Rumored specifications include a Samsung Exynos 7422 which seems like an improved version of the Exynos 7420 used in the Galaxy S6, 4GB RAM, 16 megapixel camera which is most probably the same module as the one in the Galaxy S6, a 5.7″ 1440p screen, and a 4100 mAh power pack.

Pokdepinion: The Galaxy Note 5 looks very good to me. The metal frame looks way sturdier than the one used in the Note 4, and if it comes with a glass back it sure will look quite sexy. However with the large size of the Galaxy Note 5 I am not sure how the glass back will fare if it’s dropped.
