The LG G4 is available for RM2499 in Malaysia, officially distributed by Zitron Enterprise. There is an ongoing promotion offering FREE battery charging kit and Leather Quick Cover Case (worth a total of RM580) with every purchase of the LG G4.

The LG G4 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 (quad A53 cores running at 1.44 GHz and dual A57 cores running at 1.82 GHz) mated to 3GB of RAM. The Snapdragon 808 used is most probably in response to the overheating complaints faced by the LG G Flex 2 which has a Snapdragon 810 inside that sexy curved frame. The G4 is also very slightly curved for a more ergonomic grip on the phone.

The rest of the specifications include a 5.5″ 1440p IPS Quantum display under Gorilla Glass 3, a 16MP f/1.8 camera supported by laser focus, optical image stabilization and a “Color Spectrum Sensor” which claims to analyze all the available light to produce a vivid image. The sensor is a Sony IMX234 according to AnandTech. The front camera is rated at 8MP. Preventing you and the phone from being attached to a wall all the time is a 3000 mAh battery.

Malaysia seems to only have the leather-backed variants available for sale. They are currently available in red, black and brown. For more information click here.

Pokdepinion: The LG G4 seems to be the first phone out there with the Snapdragon 808. After some Googling I see a test by ArsTechnica which seems to show a lot less throttling of the 808 compared to the 810. The pricing is on the high side but there will definitely be some people who will appreciate the quality in this premium smartphone.
