5/10Marvel VS Capcom 4 to Replace Marvel VS Capcom Infinite?
It appears that Marvel VS Capcom Infinite may be coming back with some huge changes. A major update is said to be in the works which will replace the game with Marvel VS Capcom 4.
According to FGC Leaker DasVergeben, Marvel VS Capcom 4 is said to be in the works as an update for Infinite. Unlike with Infinite’s original version, they will not be showing anything until closer to release. Much of the game’s bad publicity came from some of its unfinished models which looked remarkably rough, although many still do.
It is said to have new characters, some of which may be from the originally planned DLC characters coming next year. Some of the names mentioned are Star-Lord, Ms. Marvel, Asura, Gill, Lady, Rashid, and Vergil, with the latter two said to be essentially confirmed. Even with the recent purchase of Fox by Disney, it would appear the X-Men are still not set to return.
Marvel VS Capcom Infinite is one of the biggest letdowns in the history of game releases. It had poor visuals, mouths not syncing up with what they’re saying, and a rather depressing character roster among many things. Needless to say, many were unhappy and it even led to it being replaced by the much better Dragon Ball FighterZ at EVO 2018.
It is definitely nice to see that they’re trying to learn from their mistakes and release a game, or at least an update, to remedy the issue. Sure, it’s been a while since the game’s release but it’s better late than never. Oddly, we still don’t hear anything about the inclusion of X-Men characters in that but for now, we’ll just keep our eyes and ears peeled out for it.
For now, best to take this piece of information with a grain of salt.

Pokdepinion: Given how many gamers were disappointed by the game, I’m honestly not surprised. If it does happen, I really do hope the game will turn out as good as people expected Infinite to be prior to release.
