The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) said it is in touch with Facebook to determine how many Malaysian Facebook users have been affected by the hack.
In the interim, it said users should check their security and login page to determine if their account had been improperly accessed. Users are also advised to be on alert if there are any suspicious activities on their accounts, and report the same to authorities.
Reports and complaints can be made to MCMC at +6016-2206262, or Personal Data Protection Department at aduan@pdp.gov.my.
