MSI blows minds with 4.9mm bezels on a gaming laptop! And the list of niceties doesn’t end just yet!
When Intel releases a new CPU, Brands will usually clamor to release a refresh of their current line up with the latest CPUs. Rarely do we see an all-new design, but today we do. The MSI GS65 Stealth Thin shadows the other models MSI has released with the spanking new 8th Generation Intel Core processors. Not physically though, because it’s one helluva sleek baby.
One ultra-sleek hexa-core monster
17.7mm sleek, to be exact. While it probably isn’t the thinnest laptop you have seen around, it lays claim to being the first gaming laptop with a 144 Hz IPS display with bezels just 4.9mm thick. Thin bezels and screen-to-body ratio aren’t terms you often hear when discussing laptops, but the MSI GS65 Stealth Thin touts a stunning 82% screen-to-body ratio, higher than certain FullView smartphones. Even with those thin bezels, they still managed to cram the webcam at the top bezel, allowing for a more natural user experience. I have used the Mi MIX 2 with its selfie camera on the lower bezel, and trust me, your chin doesn’t look as good as you think.
The GS65 Stealth Thin breaks convention by applying golden trim to make the laptop glint. Even when going for a glitzy outlook, they have not forgotten their gamer roots, and per-key RGB illumination can be found on the keyboard by SteelSeries. It weighs a mere 1.8 kg light, yet MSI managed to pack it with a 82 Whr battery claimed to offer 8+ hours of battery life. With the new Intel six-core CPU and GeForce GTX 1070 Max-Q under the hood, I would definitely want to put their claims to the test.
