Since it launched its “Battle Royale” mode late last year, Fortnite has become an unstoppable phenomenon thanks to its winning strategy of broader console support and being free-to-play, and now the recently-released mobile version of the game is available for anyone to enjoy.
The folks over at Epic Games has announced that Fortnite is now available to all iOS users on either iPhone or iPad, after previously being available only to users with an invite to the mobile release’s beta.
Alongside the game’s public release on iOS, Epic Games also specified in its announcement that the mobile version of its popular game is compatible with iPhone SE, 6S, 7, 8, and iPhone X. For the iPads, the iPad Mini 4, Air 2, 2017, and iPad Pro users will be able to play the game. However, Epic also specified that the game does not support iPhone 5S, 6, 6 Plus, iPad Air, Mini 2, Mini 3, or iPod Touch.
The mobile version of the game will also be coming to Android sometime down the line, though Epic has not given specific info about its Android release just yet. However, given the game’s already huge player base on consoles and PC, it’s only a matter of time that we’ll see the Battle bus make its way over for Android users to hop into the Battle Royale.
Fortnite is now available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Mac, and iOS devices.
