MSI Vortex – another powerful trashcan

I could say this is the most anticipated product from MSI at CES 2106. MSI’s Vortex is a powerful compact gaming PC designed to fit anywhere. The MSI Vortex is only 6.5L and comes packed with power utilizing a desktop Intel processor.

To support multiples 4K video outputs simultaneously for intense surround 4K gaming experience the MSI Vortex sport dual NVIDIA GTX 980 in MXM form factor module configuration.

Putting a desktop Intel processor and two graphics card in a small package would generate a ton of heat, potential for a house fire but MSI has carefully prepared the solution. The 360° Silent Storm Cooling is designed for superior performance in cooling while maintaining the soft whisper “Quiet Library” level at 32db under load and 22db on idle.

There’s no announcement about the price but MSI Vortex will be available in this year.

Pokdepinion: Despite many voices out there saying the MSI Vortex resembles the Apple Mac Pro, but I find the design to be pretty far off even though the basic principles of the cooling system seems to be similar. Let’s see whether Apple invites MSI to a date in court later.
