Shortly after the public demo at PSX SEA 2017, a new character has been announced for Dissidia Final Fantasy NT. A “sinful” being, you could say.

Over at PSX SEA 2017 just this past weekend, we had a blast playing the demo for Dissidia Final Fantasy NT. It was superbly fun and it felt pretty polished for a demo. Well, it seems like Square Enix and Ninja Theory has something up their sleeves for this game, in the form of a new character.

New Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Character Announced

ARVE Error: need id and provider

In a bit of an unsurprising twist, Square Enix and Ninja Theory has unveiled the latest addition to Dissidia Final Fantasy NT’s roster. It is none other that Sir Jecht from Final Fantasy X, who’s also Tidus’s father. The rugged man straight from the Blitzball scene of Final Fantasy X was announced today during a livestream from Tokyo.

He will be added to the arcade version of the game with an update coming this month, even if for now basically only Japanese fans will be able to enjoy his moves, since that’s where Dissidia Final Fantasy arcades are mostly located.

Jecht will most likely appear on Dissidia Final Fantasy NT’s console version for the PS4, even if we don’t really know how if all the additional characters from the arcade will be added at launch or at a later time, if ever. We’ll definitely be able to obtain more details on that when the recently-announced closed beta hits later this summer.

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT will launch early next year, exclusively for PlayStation 4.

Pokdepinion: Well, can’t say I was surprised since he did show up in Dissidia 012 for the PSP. Jecht is a popular character in the Final Fantasy universe, and works well as a Chaos counterpart to Tidus. Sure, you can use Seymour as a villain for Dissidia Final Fantasy NT but let’s be real, Jecht works way better for a game like this.
