New Render Showcase Xiaomi Mi 9 — Powered By Snapdragon 855 With Triple Rear Cameras
Apparently, the Product Director for Xiaomi, Wang Teng, has posted a picture of a smartphone that is said to be the company’s upcoming flagship Mi 9. Of course, the picture was later taken down.
Another image was then later uploaded which looks similar to the one that Teng uploaded. As you can see, the Mi 9 will feature a triple rear camera, with the main lens said to be a Sony 48MP sensor. The LED flash sits just underneath the three lens.
It could come with a metal and glass design, which could mean the Mi 9 will offer Qi wireless charging. There’s also the indication that the phone will come in with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The phone should be powered by a Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 855 and packs up to 8GB of RAM. Other than that, it comes with a 6.2-inch Full HD OLED display that comes with a smaller notch compared to the previous Mi 8.
Xiaomi Mi 8 was launched back in of May 2018, we could possibly see Mi 9 make its way to the market in mid-2019.
Pokdepinion: I’m starting to love the Mi 9 already (although it is still renders and not official…yet). Having used the Mi 8 before, I’m glad to see that they’ve improved on the notch and made it smaller. I’m not too sure of the in-display fingerprint sensor though. I never had a good experience with them before. Let’s just hope that it is all good.
