It looks like Valve isn’t the only one making waves in the VR space as the Oculus Quest and Oculus Rift S have started their pre-orders.
Both the Oculus Quest and the Oculus Rift S will begin shipping out next month on 21st May 2019. Both devices will retail at a starting price of USD $399, with pre-orders for both devices officially open today.
While the Rift S and Quest both might be the same price and will begin shipping on the same day, both headsets are pretty different from one another. The Rift S is a new model of the standard Oculus Rift and comes with improves optics and a higher resolution display. It also still connects to your PC and is compatible with all other games that work on the standard Rift.
As for the Oculus Quest, it is a completely separate headset that doesn’t need tracking devices or a PC in order to work. While the major drawback on this headset is that it won’t be able to play every game in the existing Oculus library, the trade-off might be more than worth it.

Pokdepinion: Personally, I am not sure if it’s worth investing in VR if you haven’t already. But I’m starting to see that the devices are getting more convenient. Kinda wished prices would go down a bit more.
