The new OPPO F5 features a 6-inch, 18:9 ratio display which is a first for an OPPO smartphone. Since it’s coming to the ‘Selfie Expert’ series, the main focus is at its front camera, which sport a 20MP with f/2.0 aperture and comes with the A.I Beauty Recognition technology. This new addition, is able to recognize the subject’s skin tone and type, gender, as well as age and match them against its database and thus make beauty modifications that are unique for each individual selfie.
Since they are focusing on the front camera, they also want to emphasize on unlocking the phone, just by using facial recognition (it’s the trend nowdays, apparently). Despite that, if users aren’t into it, they can choose to have your more usual way of unlocking the device via password, pattern, and finger print.
On the rear, it has a 16MP f/1.8 shooter with a single LED flash. The device is able to deliver Bokeh effects and offers HDR.

The OPPO F5 runs on Color OS 3.2, which is based from Android 7.0 Nougat. It comes with 4GB RAM paired with a 32GB internal memory. There are three slot trays for you to utilize which suports two Nano cards and one TF card simultaneously. Under the hood, it packs a 3200mAh battery. They’ve also introduce the Do Not Disturb function. It ensures you that your gameplay won’t be interrupted, while still ensuring that you wont miss any important calls via a banner.
The OPPO F5 is now available to preorder until the 10th of November 2017. It is priced at RM1298 and can be pre-ordered at OPPO Concept Stores and 888 authorised OPPO sales points across Malaysia as well as e-commerce partners such as Lazada, 11street, Shopee and others. Pokdepinion: As I have mentioned before, I’m not really a ‘selfie’ guy. Despite that, I can see that it is a bit different in terms that the F5 doesn’t make you look TOO doll-ish, which is a good thing.
