The Samsung Galaxy C-series made its way from being a China-exclusive device, to targeting developing countries like India and our homeland, starting with the Galaxy C9 Pro. Well it seems like the lower-end Galaxy C7 Pro is also looking to expand its market in India, after a certain SM-C701F/DS receiving WiFi certification.

Samsung India has also launched a support page for the device. This points to it arriving in India really soon. We do know the device has lower specifications than the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro, sporting a Snapdragon 626, 4GB of RAM and a more manageable screen size of just 5.7″, with a smaller battery rated at 3300 mAh. 16MP f/1.9 cameras are set to be on both the front and rear, to ensure high quality photos and selfies. The Galaxy C7 Pro will also run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow at launch, with Samsung’s GraceUX, of course.

In terms of pricing, it costs 2799 Yuan in China where it was first announced, or around RM1798. We will update when we find out more about the Galaxy C7 Pro’s availability here in Malaysia.

Pokdepinion: Samsung’s expanding the Galaxy C-series to a global model is actually quite confusing. How does the Galaxy C7 Pro slot in with the Galaxy A7 (2017) featuring very similar specifications? Also, why are they releasing devices running on Android Marshmallow when they have updated their previous flagships to Nougat?
