Sony FE 24-105mm F4 G OSS full-frame lens; Compact, lightweight standard zoom covering wide-angle to mid-telephoto range
The latest addition to Sony’s full-frame lens is the FE 24-105mm F4 G OSS Standard Zoom (model SEL24105G) which is a G lens, expanding the E-mount lens line-up. It covers the commonly used focal length (24 – 105 mm) delivering outstanding imaging performance while having the most lightweight design in it’s class. This makes the FE 24-105mm F4 G OSS versatile enough to shoot landscapes, portraits, weddings and more. It also features fast, precise and quiet auto-focus in both still and video shooting.
The new FE 24-105mm F4 G OSS lens delivers great corner-to-corner sharpness throughout the entirety of its zoom range, while also producing beautifully rendered depth-of-field at all focal lengths.
The FE 24-105mm F4 G OSS has an advanced optical design that introduces four aspherical lens elements, two of which are high precision AA (advanced aspherical) lenses. There are also three Extra-low Dispersion glass elements that work with the AA lenses to minimise chromatic aberration, ensuring ultimate resolution capturing.
The FE 24-105mm F4 G OSS has Sony’s Nano AR coating, minimising flare and ghosting as well as having a circular aperture to ensure high quality bokeh, consistent for all Sony’s G series.
Weighing at approximately 663 grams, the FE 24-105mm F4 G OSS is the lightest lens in its class. When combined with Sony’s E-mount bodies, it results in a very mobile photography system that gives lots of versatility and portability.
The FE 24-105mm F4 G OSS also has a minimum focus distance of 1.25ft, allowing impressive close up detail. It also has a built-in OIS that works like a charm with Sony’s Alpha series camera that already have their own image stabilizers.
For shooting fast moving objects, the FE 24-105mm F4 G OSS features DDSSM (Direct Drive SSM) system that rapidly positions the lens’ focus groups with high accuracy and minimal noise. This is combined with a constant F4 aperture throughout the whole focal length making it the perfect choice for still and video shooting.
The Sony FE 24-105mm F4 G OSS will be available in Malaysia crom 8th December 2017, retailing at RM6,099.
