The next iPhone may support dual-SIM — you won’t need to carry two iPhones anymore!
iPhones have never featured dual-SIM support. But that feature may be coming to an upcoming Apple smartphone. The latest iOS 12 developer beta 5 has references to “second SIM status” and “second SIM tray status” in it.
Given that dual-SIM functionality is really popular in Asian countries where users still use separate plans for their data and calls, the upcoming iPhone might be a bigger hit than anticipated.
Apple is also rumored to put this feature into their more affordable LCD-packing iPhone, which would make it even more popular among the budget conscious users.
