WD and SanDisk 64-Layer 3D NAND SSD now available in Malaysia
Today the laughters were filled at Yellow Apron restauran in Petaling Jaya as Western Digital announced the availability of it’s latest offering, the 64-Layer 3D NAND Solid State Drives (SSD). Since the acquisition of SanDisk that happened last year, this means that the technology is also now available in SanDisk SSDs.
Being the first in the world, these SSDs deliver higher performance at even lower power consumption while offering higher capacity capabilities and endurance.
These powerful WD SSDs target DIY enthusiasts, resellers and system builders as it boasts industry-leading 1.75M hours MTTF (Mean Time To Failure), as well as the QC backed by WD Functional Integrity Testing Lab (F.I.T. Lab) certification. The SanDisk Ultra 3D SSDs on the other hand, are intended for gaming and creative industry enthusiasts who want better performance out of their machines.
The WD Blue is available in 2 form factors; 2.5-inch/7mm cased drives as well as singe-sided M.2 2280 form factor.
The SanDisk Ultra 3D SSDs on the other hand are only available in 2.5-inch/7mm cased drives.
Both drives come with 3-years limited warranty. Prices of the drives are as follows:
