Even if you’re an avid retro gamer, you’re very unlikely to own consoles more than the amount of fingers on both of your hands right now. However, one Saudi Arabian has completed a feat that got himself into Guinness World Records: by hooking up 444 different game consoles to a single TV.

According to the news release of the record-keeping organization, the official title of the record is “most gaming consoles to a single TV.” Now hold on, most TVs don’t even get more than 4 HDMI ports, so how did the record holder, Ibrahim Al-Nasser, managed this feat? Apparently it involves an Excel spreadsheet to keep track of all the devices and connections, using the switchers to get to the specific console that he wants to display on the TV.

The entire 444-console setup requires over 30 RCA switchers, more than 12 HDMI switchers, and as you’d imagine with retro consoles – all kinds of proprietary connectors that are more than obsolete by this point. The arsenal of consoles includes the first ever commercial gaming console, called Magnavox Odyssey (circa 1972), to the latest PlayStation 5 Slim released just last year.

Surprisingly, such a large amount of consoles didn’t end up creating a wiring hell for him. He says all the consoles require special setup and cable management, which has been kept “almost hidden” and is managed through commercial available tools. As a side note, his favorite console of them all? The Sega Genesis.
