Xiaomi Supposedly Working On A 192MP Camera Smartphone
Smartphone brands have been making quite the progress in recent time where it’s not rare to see 108MP sensors on smartphones. Now according to a leak, Xiaomi is working on a new device that sports a 192MP lens.
Xiaomi working on 192MP camera smartphone?
The leak was revealed by leakster Digital Chat Station where they claim that the sensor would have a 192MP resolution and supports 16-in-1 pixel binning. With that, this could support native 4x zoom on smartphones, with higher quality.
Of course to process all of that, it would need a powerful processor to back it up. It is said that the successor of the Snapdragon 888 will make its way here and why wouldn’t it be (should it be real). It is said that it will be called the ‘Snapdragon 895’ and features a 4nm process plus Kryo 780 CPU cores, Adreno 730, Spectra 680 and a new X65 5G modem.
Aside from that, the leak reveals that it will have highly-curved sides as well as a single punch camera at the front.
If it does end up in the market, it’s likely that it won’t be released this year. We could see more about it come December as Xiaomi usually does with their flagship Mi series.

Pokdepinion: You may think that 192MP is too much and I could understand why. Despite that, if companies like Xiaomi doesn’t come up with these features, we’d all be at a stand still with no progress. I just hope that the chipset is powerful but efficient enough.
