Xiaomi Mi 9 Gets Certification In Singapore — Coming Soon To Malaysia?
Just recently, it was found out that Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship, Mi 9, has passed certification at IMDA in Singapore. It has revealed of a model number M1901F1G with the marketing name of Mi 9. This came as a surprise as the device is yet to be announced in China and it has already appeared on a non-Chinese certification website.
Though the listing doesn’t show any information on the specifications of the Xiaomi Mi 9, it has been reported that it will come with a Snapdragon 855 chipset under the hood and it features a tri-lens camera setup, where it offers a 48MP Sony IMX586 lens as its main. Other than that, it is said to come with a 32W fast charger and also Qi wireless charging.
Thanks to the listing, we could possibly see a launch this month itself, or if that’s not the case, we should probably see its arrival at this year’s MWC 2019 event, which is not far off from now (two weeks to be exact).
Pokdepinion: It would be surprising to see Xiaomi to have a global launch for their Mi 9 at Singapore, but then again, Samsung did it with their Galaxy A9 here in Malaysia. Maybe there’s a trend going on in the region here?
