Xiaomi To Release Their First Ever Android Go Smartphone
We could possibly see Xiaomi to introduce their first ever Android Go device in the form of the Xiaomi Redmi Go, thanks to online leaks.
Not only have the images of the new device been showcased but the specifications as well.
Let’s not get too excited though. Being an Android Go device, it packs low-end specification on the inside. Powering it up is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset and it comes with 1GB RAM that’s paired with 8GB of internal storage.
It features a 5-inch 16:9 body-to-ratio LCD display and it packs a 3000mAh battery under the hood. As for the camera department, it comes with an 8MP main camera and a 5MP selfie shooter.
The Xiaomi Redmi Go is set to run Android 8.1 (Go Edition) straight out of the box. It is not likely that it will get an update to Android Pie though, seeing how specifications are.
Xiaomi Redmi Go could possibly be priced at US$70(~RM287) or even as low as $45(~RM185).
Pokdepinion: Of course the phone won’t attract most consumers out there, but hey, knowing Xiaomi and seeing what the phone packs inside, it’s likely that the phone will be affordable. Maybe a device for your old folks or even a back up phone?
