ZTE Axon Mini available globally — Hi-Fi audio and octa-core chip

Just recently, ZTE has announced their new smartphone, the ZTE Axon Mini. The ZTE Axon Mini shares a similar outlook with the ZTE Axon but with lower specifications and price tag. The ZTE Axon Mini shared the same Hi-Fi audio features like the ZTE Axon.

The ZTE Axon Mini comes with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 which comes with a Adreno 405 graphic processing unit. The phone features a Super AMOLED FHD 5.2 inch screen with 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage, expandable with microSD storage. While the larger ZTE Axon packs a 3000 mAh battery, the ZTE Axon Mini is only equipped with a 2800 mAh battery capacity.

With a 13MP rear camera, ZTE claims that with the phase detection autofocus (PDAF) technology usually employed in DSLRs, it is capable of super fast camera focus times of 0.1 seconds. Selfie addicts will not be left out either as it features an 8MP shooter up front. Not only that, the ZTE Axon Mini will also be using Boeing 787 aircraft-grade aluminum-titanium alloy for the phone body, so it shouldn’t bend as easily as cough some other cough phones cough.

Now for the interesting part, the ZTE Axon Mini is using ZTE’s pressure-sensitive touchscreen technology, which is almost similar to what is in the latest Apple’s iPhones. With the pressure-sensitive touchscreen it could introduce new ways for users to interact with apps, games, and the device’s interface. We are not sure what operating system will be used since the ZTE Axon boots with Android 5.1.1 but there’s a possibility that the Axon mini will come with Android 6.0 Marsmallow.

The Axon mini also supports fingerprint security measures, voice control, and eye-scan biometric authentication. The ZTE Axon Mini will be prices from USD 379 for standard version and up to USD 439 for premium edition.

Pokdepinion : A Hi-Fi chip on a phone might be a great idea but how much can it improve the audio quality, if we were to comparre it to the RM 300 (around USD 80) FiiO Q1 Portable Amplifier & DAC.
