Panasonic Malaysia has introduced the Panasonic S.iCITY Smart Living Solution and the Panasonic AI Smart Surveillance Ecosystem in Malaysia. The company said the new platforms are designed to support residential developments, commercial projects, government infrastructure, educational institutions and smart city applications.
Panasonic S.iCITY Smart Living Solution
The Panasonic S.iCITY Smart Living Solution is a smart home platform designed for residential developments and connected communities. The system uses a hybrid Zigbee 3.0 and Wi-Fi architecture to support centralized control of connected devices through a mobile app; through this, users can manage lighting systems, motorized curtains, air conditioners, smart appliances, smart locks and gas safety sensors through a single platform. The system also supports voice assistant integrations and is designed to accommodate future energy monitoring capabilities.

S.iCITY also includes automation scenes such as Good Night, Away Mode and Movie Mode, allowing users to automate multiple devices simultaneously, which can help reduce unnecessary energy consumption while simplifying controls for end users. Panasonic says the ecosystem is also designed to integrate with its other products, including inverter air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, ventilation systems and other connected appliances.
Panasonic AI Smart Surveillance Ecosystem
Panasonic also introduced its AI Smart Surveillance Ecosystem, which combines surveillance cameras, video recording systems and management software for security applications. The ecosystem consists of the company’s E-Series, V-Series and P-Series surveillance cameras, alongside network video recorders (NVR) and video management systems (VMS) – the platform is intended for commercial buildings, government facilities, educational campuses, industrial sites, residential developments and smart townships.
The surveillance system incorporates AI-based video analytics, intrusion detection, perimeter monitoring, facial recognition and automatic number plate recognition (ANPR). Thermal imaging functions and incident management features are also included. On top of that, the platform supports cybersecure system architecture and open compatibility, allowing organizations to integrate surveillance functions with existing infrastructure.
