Nothing is introducing its latest product – Ear (open) as its first open-ear earbuds. According to the company, the earbuds’ design incorporates Sound Seal System and directional speakers to minimize sound leakage and maintain a balanced soundstage.

In terms of its physical properties, the Ear (open) comes with a three-point balance system and silicone ear hooks to ensure a secure fit for all-day wear, even during physical activities; weight comes in at 8.1g for each earbud, while the case measures 19mm thin allowing easy storage in pockets.
The earbuds also feature a custom ‘patent-pending’ diaphragm, coupled with titanium coating, ultra-light driver unit, and a stepped design. The result is improved mid and high frequencies and reduced distortion, whereas low frequency are augmented via Bass Enhance algorithm.
Battery life is rated at 8 hours per charge and up to 30 hours with the case (10 minute charge gets you 2 hours of listening time), while the earbuds also include Clear Voice Technology for calls, dual connection capability, low-lag mode for gaming, and ChatGPT integration via Nothing X app.
Priced at RM659, the Nothing Ear (open) will be available through an exclusive online drop on 28 September 2024 at Crossover online store, followed by online pre-orders from 1 October and 5 October on Shopee and Lazada respectively, and finally with general sales starting on 14 October.
