Philips have been quite aggressively expanding their lineup of TWS earphones here in Malaysia, and they have just announced the Philips TAT1235. The Philips TAT1235 doesn’t appear to offer any particularly grand feature, but will be priced at a relatively high RM549.

The Philips TAT1235 packs 6mm neodymium drivers that Philips claims will deliver clear sound and punchy bass. There’s noise and echo cancellation on the microphone end to help you get the message across to the person on the other end of the call, but none for you on the listening end.

For the fitness oriented, the Philips TAT1235 also touts IPX5 water resistance to ensure that they will not die from your sweat. There are no physical buttons on the earpieces, with touch-sensitive controls to allow you to perform operations like handling calls and controlling the phone’s voice assistant.

Philips claims up to 6 hours of battery life, with another 12 hours stored in the case. That’s pretty short, considering that it doesn’t have ANC. If that wasn’t bad enough, talk time is pegged at just 3 hours.

The Philips TAT1235 is available in Black and White from all Philips TV distributors.

Pokdepinion: I absolutely see no reason why the Philips TAT1235 is so pricey without any particularly outstanding features.
