Razer has officially launched the Razer Hammerhead V3 Chroma, a new pair of premium wired USB-C gaming earbuds designed for mobile, handheld, and PC gaming. It targets competitive players who want zero-latency digital audio without the battery concerns or compression trade-offs of wireless alternatives.
Razer Hammerhead V3 Chroma
The Razer Hammerhead V3 Chroma is built around Feed-Forward Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) – a noise-reduction method that places external microphones on the outside of earbuds to capture ambient sound before it reaches your ears – which actively neutralizes ambient noise from environments like crowded commutes or busy living spaces.
Audio is handled by a custom-tuned dual-driver setup pairing an 11mm dynamic driver for low-end punch with a 6mm tweeter for high-frequency detail. On PC, users can enable THX Surround Sound 7.1 through Razer Synapse for positional audio awareness. The earbuds also support four preset audio modes for Gaming, Music, Movies, and Calls, plus a fully customizable EQ profile.
One of the more practical design decisions is the 90-degree ergonomic USB-C connector. Standard wired earbuds plug straight into a port, which creates cable interference when holding a phone in landscape mode (unless you’re one of the few who owns an ROG Phone); the angled connector on the Hammerhead V3 Chroma sits flush against the device edge, which helps reducing palm obstruction during gaming sessions.
The earbuds carries an IPX4 water-resistance rating, covering sweat and light splashes; an in-line controller handles volume, media playback, and ANC toggling without requiring the user to exit their game, and a built-in omnidirectional microphone covers voice comms and calls. Each earbud includes Razer Chroma RGB lighting, which can be synced with other Razer Chroma-enabled devices in the user’s setup.
The Razer Hammerhead V3 Chroma is available now at Razer.com, Razer Stores, and select retailers worldwide. It is priced at RM399 in Malaysia.
