[COMPUTEX 2025] Innodisk Showcases Edge AI And Embedded Vision Solutions

Innodisk presented its latest industrial AI innovations at COMPUTEX 2025, focusing on edge AI and embedded vision systems. The exhibition featured live demonstrations of optimized AI computing platforms from the APEX series, with hardware from NVIDIA, Intel, and Qualcomm alike.

A key highlight of the showcase was Innodisk’s private on-premise large language model (LLM) solution, powered by the APEX-X100 AI platform and supported by the AccelBrain software tool for local AI training. Also on display was the APEX-S100, a compact 2U short-depth server supporting up to two double-width GPUs and expanded memory slots, designed for large-scale data analytics in constrained environments.

Innodisk further expanded its embedded camera module range to support USB, MIPI, and GMSL2 interfaces, offering compatibility with Raspberry Pi, industrial PCs, and AI servers. The company also demonstrated a joint project with Advantech’s iMobility & Rugged Edge AI Division, integrating 16 virtual GMSL2 camera channels with Advantech’s TREK-50N and REX-52N systems for synchronized video capture and driver monitoring applications in heavy-duty environments.

In collaboration with Qualcomm, Innodisk presented a smart parking and security system powered by the Qualcomm Dragonwing IQ9 platform. The system, utilizing an on-board neural processing unit (NPU), performs real-time inference for vision language models and generative AI tasks. This is operated entirely onboard, which do not require cloud dependency.

Innodisk also introduced a reference kit with Intel Core Ultra 200 series processors, integrating its MIPI-over-Type C camera, DRAM modules, SSDs, and expansion options. Complementing the AI-focused offerings, Innodisk unveiled advanced memory and storage solutions including LPDDR5X CAMM2 and DDR5 MRDIMM modules, along with PCIe Gen5 SSDs in various form factors such as U.2, E3.L, E3.S, and E1.S.
