Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) and Ingeteam have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to form a strategic partnership focused on delivering advanced power solutions for AI data centers in the United States.
The partnership combines MHI’s expertise in integrated power, cooling, and energy management with Ingeteam’s power electronics, rotating electrical machines, and control and automation technologies, targeting the growing power quality and grid-integration challenges faced by AI datacenter operators.
MHI & Ingeteam Signs New MoU
Under the partnership, both companies plan to expand the availability of Ingeteam’s power conversion solutions and related software within the US data center market through MHI’s distribution and integration channels. Both companies will also explore opportunities to incorporate Ingeteam’s technologies into MHI’s broader energy infrastructure architectures.
Future collaboration areas under evaluation include advanced medium-voltage distribution technologies, energy management systems, and emerging solutions suited to high-density computing environments. These remain subject to further technical and commercial evaluation.
Both companies stated that this MoU represents an initial US-focused step, with plans to continue expanding their respective AI infrastructure portfolios and collaborating with broader technology ecosystems to bring solutions to market.
Pokdepinion: The AI boom is basically one giant stress test for power grids, which isn’t ideal to say the least.
